Politics: What & how

India's problems are complex. And unfortunately these are compounded by vote-bank politics. Instead of uniting the different sections of society, many politicians divide it to keep their vote banks intact. If people are united, politicians won't be able to get votes through divisive politics. In such a situation, the only way for them to win votes would be through good performance.

As citizens, we must protect our country from those who manipulate issues for their personal gains and who lead by playing vote-bank politics. Those with vested interests support insensible decisions and oppose sensible ones. We have to steer clear of such leaders. We must encourage broad-minded politicians and leaders to come forward and take charge, and to educate and uplift the society - spiritually, morally and socially.

We need leaders who are satya-darshi (truthful), sam-darshi (equanimous), priya-darshi (pleasant), paar-darshi (transparent) and door-darshi (visionary). So, before we elect our leaders, we should examine their qualifications.

We must elect leaders who will do away with policies based on caste, creed, religion and region; who will ensure that every child gets a multi-cultural, multi-dimensional education.

We need leadership with a mission and a vision, leadership with a spirit of sacrifice, compassion and commitment. We must choose leaders who have a long-term vision and short-term plans to achieve it. They should have great personal integrity, and place the country before themselves.

Unfortunately, most of our politicians lack a sense of sacrifice and inclusiveness. Irrespective of the party they belong to, people perceive politicians as insincere. Today, people are fed up of them. This is when apathy sets in among people. They dismiss politics as a whole and withdraw from their basic duty of voting.

Our votes are an important tool to bring about a change in the system; they give us an opportunity to raise our voice against injustice. But many of us have developed a chalta hai attitude, because we fail to see the power of our votes. This attitude is dangerous for the country. By not voting we are encouraging the status quo.

Each one of us must not only vote but also encourage others around us to vote. When good, intelligent and well-educated people don't vote, they play into the hands of politicians, who use money and vote bank politics to seize power. People should not lose hope. Good politicians exist. And they must be given a chance to do the best they can for the country, for its people.

We have seen the shortcomings of capitalism, communism and socialism. Now is the time for humanism and spiritualism. Politics without humanism and spiritualism is bound to be dirty. Many people believe that spiritualism is not for this world, that it is not a practical tool to bring about societal transformation. But that's a misconception. Mahatma Gandhi was spiritual. He conducted satsangs every day and played an important role in bringing freedom for our country.

That is why today we need leaders who have a spirit of sacrifice, and who are spiritual in their outlook, to enter politics.

Guru Story

Dear all

You must have heard so many miraculous experiences of others and you must also have had so many like that which we them GURU STORIES. Listening these stories or having such experiences always consolidate our faith and help us to understand the knowledge more clearly. Since these are live experiences they always have more impact on our consciousness also.

I remember in Narada Bhakti Sutra also Gurudev explain in one of sutra:

"Bhakta ekantino mukhyah, kanthavarodha romancha shrubhih parasparam lapamanah pavayanti kulani prithvim cha"

Means: devotees has such one-pointedness that when they get together and talk. They speak about Divine, their throats choke, their hair stands up, tears roll down their eyes and they uplift each other and they purify not just their family, not just their relatives, but the whole world. That is divine love.

That is the power of talking about divine. So lets open your heart and go back in your life and explore those moments which you always remember and remembering those moment takes to trance and connect to divine, our master. Share those Sweet guru stories. I am working on a blog where I want to put all these sweet guru stories with the wisdom which imprinted in us.

Here is such one of my guru story:

It was January 2006 before silver Jubilee celebration. Everybody in ashram was getting ready for big celebration for 25 years of service, wisdom, love and a dream of one world family which was coming true every moment. In one of the breezy evening of Bangalore we had one huge satsang in Ashram as Gurudev was there. Since that was a breezy day and it started drizzling also so satsang was planed in Vishalakshi Mantap which made me more anxious to be in front row. Many people from city of bangalore and many other countries were already flooded the ashram. And Since I had some unpleasent experience of not having HIS darshan, I wanted to be in front row in the satsang. So I was pushing one of fellow teacher Rajesh to hurry up and be on time for the satsang. But as everything was already planned by Divine (and always planned in Divine realm) we got late and could get entry only through the back gate of VM as all the other three gates were JAM PACKED. And since my mind was pre-anxious and cooked up from the previous experiences of not having Darshan. I was really angry on Rajesh.

With the grudging mind I and other friends entered from the back gate of VM and pushing myself some how to have a sight on HIM. and I was showing my all anger on my fellow friends that I was telling you guys to hurry up but you guys didn't. and here again we are late. I was not listening to anything what HE was saying while answering some the question. And when I was totally out of my mind in anger and frustration of not seeing HIM; very moment HE got up from HIS seat and walked on the stage toward our direction and straight looking at me HE spoke "ARE YOU HAPPY NOW"

Now you guys know what happened next, for a couple of moment I was stunned and experiencing what has happened and then suddenly tears just started rolling from my eyes for next 15 mins, perhaps I was in some other world soaked in pure love and bliss of that experience. Then I came back in senses and first thing I spoke to Rajesh how intelligent HE is. Then Rajesh with his mischievous smile replied back HE is not intelligent HE is intelligence..... And again I was in some blissful state where I was experience goose bumps at the body level at the same time wondering at mind level That how does HE DO THAT!!! Its a wonder... But that moment gave me realization whether I can see HIM or not BUT HE IS SEEING ME ALWAYS... what an experience for a life-time that I am never alone.....

Jai Gurudev!!!!

I hope you guys must have enjoyed this sweet memory filled with HIS love and wisdom. Please share your Guru story and please also respond to this how did you like one of my Guru story. So that I can start and accomplish this divine thaught of having a blog with all guru stories.

Please do share.... Oh yeah if possible please send your one picture too.

Love
Dinesh

Straight from the SOURCE

So this come straight from the 'SOURCE' (GUURJI):

Last week on 19th March we were blessed to have a satsang with Guruji in Washington DC. We were all very happy and enthusiastic about to see HIM. And around 20 people from Pittsburgh got into vans leaving being their work and just went to see their beloved 'SOURCE'. Pooja, puneet, ranjita, niti, smarahara, tarun, vinod, roheeth, Lance (not have done the course just have listen the glory of Guruji so just want to meet HIM) and YOUNG BOB (i think 80 year old ever young at heart) and me. The journey was very soothing and a timeless experience where we were talking about the glory of MASTERS and didn't realized when time passed..... and finally exact on time we landed in Hyatt hotel where on the reception everybody was eagerly waiting to meet the 'SOURCE'. Without making us wait too long we met the 'SOURCE'. and here HE is ever smiling, ever blissful, ever enthusiastic, ever peaceful my beloved GURUJI...

Then we all sat for satsang and after couple of bhajans HE as usual talked about most astonishing but so wonderfully explained knowledge. He looked into the questions in the basket and then kept the basket inside (I think people must have kept the list of problems their rather than some intelligent questions) so He started with saying:

"you know there all FIVE ways to handle your all problems:

1. Look that all which is giving you problem is temporary. Nothing has stayed here for permanent so whatever is giving you problem will also go.

2. Know that you are bigger than anything which is bothering you. And I just had this sudden realization in mind relaxes and expands the mind so much that problem which sound so big like mountain become so small.

3. Whenever you are in problem think about those who have bigger problem than you. Like if you are bothered by the hassles of job think about people who lost their job. or sometime we are so upset about the some change in taste of food like salt in the not their in the food and we go mad think about the people who don't get food and whatever is bugging our mind just vanishes.........

4. Look back in your life that whenever you were in problem help was given to you. And when he said this I was realizing yeah how true it is for my life and perhapes for others too. Again reminds me HIS one of the amazing knowledge that UNSEEN HAS MAJOR ROLE TO PLAY.

5. Know that EVERYTHING IS NOTHING. HE said that just sit and meditate that everything is nothing and as this truth get established in us NO problem remains since everything is nothing.

What a realization what a knowledge just bring vasilating mind to present moment and relaxes so much that I experienced that timeless, spaceless, blissful presence for which words fall short and ...........................!!!

After such a soothing yet deep knowledge HE tooks to journey of the self HE guided us to a deep Meditation. It was so amazing that when the mind is already so calm and relaxed how deep one can go inside that was an experience like AHO NIRANJAN.... what an amagement... (an experience king Janaka must have had while conversing this Enlightened Sage Ashtawakra) what a bliss... just the unconditional love filled with pure bliss that is, I feel scripture describe that state as 'SAT-CHIT-ANAND' :) :) :)

After that when HE bring us out of meditation and chantings of bhajans started My eyes was just stuck on his smiling face and tears (oops HE call them PEARLS) of gratitude was rolling over my cheeks. Such a purifying experience felt like taking a dip in pure water of Ganges............ :)

And then when satsang ended we all stood up as he was leaving the hall and thoughts was throbbing my heart that how lucky we are..... That one meeting, one sight of ENLIGHTED ONE can trasnform us from burning blisters to blissful beauty I was realizing what it means when HE says you are the CHOSEN ONE.............!!!!!!

I still wonders how does HE DO this............. isnt it a WONDER............!!!!!!!

LOVE
